Vic Govt Grants Open

The long anticipated Victorian Government Grants have opened with two grants becoming immediately open for applications.  Remember that you can only apply for one or the other, so take the time to review the grant guidelines and ensure you carefully consider what is most appropriate for your business.

The announcement of the program can be found here.

Dave Irwin, president of Spirits Victoria, released the following statement regarding this program:

Spirits Victoria Association is proud to support the new distillery door grant announced by Agriculture Victoria last week. This is a significant investment by the Victorian Government to support the burgeoning spirits sector in this state. It is clear recognition of the hard work and contribution by us all to create an exciting and sustainable new industry.

The first grant to open is the Distillery Support – Infrastructure and Boosting Visitor Economy. I would highly encourage you to review and plan if the funding is appropriate for you. Applications close on 7 April 2023. If you have friends in the industry, please pass on and make them aware of this great initiative.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the hard work put in during the consultation for this program, including significant contributions by Paul McLeay, Derv McGowan, Sam Slaney, Seb Costello, Lorelle Warren, Chris Pratt, Rob Turner, Kristen Lemura, Russ Watson, Cam Mckenzie, Dave Vitale, our interstate friends David Whittaker and David Ridden. Many others have also made contributions along the way, and our industry thanks all those that have helped to make this a reality.

This program is about making our industry stronger, safer and more sustainable as we continue to develop and deliver a wonderful variety of products to our markets.

We will update you with any more information including access to new grants as they develop, we will also update communications on the Spirits Victoria Association website.
